I’ve just landed in Umbria, in the green heart of Italy. I’m happy to see my family again.

I meet up with my son, my daughter-in-law, and my five grandchildren on their land. A magnificent place, perched atop a mountain, overlooking a charming little village called Valfabbrica, a few kilometers away, not far from Assisi and Perugia. We settle down on the grass…

The endless azure sky of Umbria rises above our heads

Within sight, sheep and lambs graze.

Since 2020, my family has been planning and working here on their big dream:

Their future on their self-sufficient organic mountain farm in harmony with nature.

70 hectares of untouched nature · in a landscape brimming with positive energy

With their own hands and great energy, my family has been clearing old, overgrown fields here for five years, making them arable again.

They build and renovate together. They plant, tend, harvest, and process the fruits of their orchards, olive groves, vegetable gardens, and fields of wheat, barley, oats, and spelt.

They bake their own bread. They lovingly care for their sheep, pigs, chickens, geese, dogs, and cats. In their forests, they find black and white truffles, various nuts, and wild herbs. Many animals live freely up here: wild boar, deer, foxes, and wolves. And everything is in harmony.

The positive energy that shines in this dreamlike landscape is palpable everywhere.

Only a few people live in this secluded region. Everything is geographically widely scattered. The people feel emotionally connected to one another. A large community has gathered here. Free and respectful. People know each other. They meet up. They eat together. They talk together. They celebrate together. They sing together. They help each other. They plan together. They exchange ideas. A wonderful life…
